Mimaki Releases Two New Transfer Printers
(NPES International Printing E-Commerce Network 2009-02-24) Wide format manufacturer Mimaki Engineering has launched two new sublimation transfer printers for sport apparel, the TS3-1600 and the TS5-1600AMF. The company says the dye sublimation printers enable short run creation and production of various polyester sportswear.
Both printers are equipped with Mimaki's Bulk Ink System accommodating two litre ink containers for long continuous unattended printing.
The TS3-1600 features one print head with eight lines of 180 nozzles and achieves a speed of 12.7sqm per hour at high speed mode and 7.7sqm per hour at standard mode.
The TS5-1600AMF is a high-end, high-speed model featuring an array of 4 staggered print heads with eight lines of 180 nozzles. This results in a maximum speed of 44.4sqm per hour at high speed mode and 25.3sqm per hour at standard mode.

Both models feature Mimaki's Bulk Ink Supply System (MBIS) accommodating 2 litter ink containers as well as the traditional 440 cc ink cartridges. Both ink supplies can be used separately or together according to the individual requirements of the job.
The company says by adopting the new two litter ink containers, ink costs can be reduced up to 40 per cent compared to conventional 440 cc ink cartridges.
Mimaki also says both models come with Raster Link Pro 4 TA, Mimaki’s original RIP software, which the company says creates smooth gradation with 16 bit rendering. |
