Ministry of Commerce Adjust Processing Trade Policy

(NPES International E-commerce Website, May 10, 2007) According to the Announcement No. 17, 2007 of Ministry of Commerce, General Administration of Customs and State Environmental Protection Administration, the Promulgating Commodity Catalogue Prohibited for Processing Trade has been readjusted. "Export paper and its paper products (commodity tax No. 4801-4816) made from 100% imported wood pulp (commodity tax No. 4701-4706) are permitted for processing trade."

The adjustment is the first relaxation after China listed pulp onto the promulgating commodity catalogue prohibited for processing trade on January 1, 2006. This announcement shall take effect as from Apr 26, 2007.
