On August 5, Lang Ping, the U.S. women's volleyball coach, came to the "environmental protection corner" in the International Olympic Village area; she changed an environmental-friendly T-shirt by five bottles of Coke. In the first day when Zhao Ruirui ,China¡¯s volleyball player and Green Olympics Ambassador , inhabited into the Olympic village, she also came to the "environmental protection corner" in the Olympic Village , she selected a large-size environmental-friendly T-shirt.

Coca-Cola Company, as one of the Beijing Olympic sponsors, is the organizer of this event, the company's souvenir medal exchange ambassadors Xi Chen explained: "these T-shirts are all produced by five plastic bottles of Coke which 53 % is recycled materials and 47% is cotton.¡±
According to the staff¡¯s introduction, there are more than 8,000 registered Olympic athletes and staff changed a white and red characters T-shirt by a Coke bottle in 17 days.
